I really don’t know if this belongs here, but since it is my blog I guess I can make an exception. I was just lazing around today as I felt like, pardon the expression, shit. and on the television come one of those many law firm commercials for class action lawsuits.

I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes at the ER on Sept 2005, with a blood glucose reading of over 500. I know every one has it nowadays right. They gave be some insulin and sent me home with instructions to see the family doc.

The family doc puts me on Byetta which I have been taking regularly as injections twice daily ever since. It really did the job, I lost over 100 lbs and brought my numbers way down.

I also have been in and out of the hospital with abdominal pain and vomiting, had numerous operations for blockages, adhesions, stomach pains, etc….  Now I am worried.

The doc says no need to worry that I don’t have what the 6 reported deaths had, but if I would feel better I could go in for blood work. Hmmm. I can die and make the lawyers richer, I don’t know I really don’t know. I guess I will let him do the blood work and see.

Byetta is what they call Lizard spit, it is made to act like the venomous saliva of the Gila monster, and they are were considering using it for weight loss patients. Diabetes is a disease without a cure, but is the treatment worse than the diabetes?

All right am I losing it? My youngest of 6 (yea 6) has decided to move into an apartment with is gal pal. This leaves me and the Mrs, in this big old house to ourselves! So I go out and by a 32″ Sanyo HDTV ( I buy stuff when I am depressed). The HDTV is fine and dandy but when I hooked up my lite-on DVD Recorder and tried to play a move just to see how awesome it was going to be, I got depressed again.

I called my oldest son, #1 he likes to call himself and he tells me, “Dad you just as well get a PS3, as it has a Blu-Ray Player included for around the same price as just the player. I bit I went to the nearest GameStop and said “give me one of they PS3’s with the 80 gig HD will ya bud?

“Well you know sir that one only has USB ports and is not backward compatible?” ??? HUH? “Sir it will not play any old games on it.” ”

“Oh ok thats cool I have no old games, Pretty much buying it for the Blu-Ray.”

“Ok, I will grab ya one, but you should at least get a game.”

(being the sly shopper I a.it’s not so, well drawn out an boring. I did indeed by 2 games, one (gee I hate to admit this in public) Smackdown Vs. Raw, and Mercenary 2. I tried both had not a clue what I was doing, shut it of and instead went to netflix to convert my que to Blu-Ra. ( will let the kids teach me the games).

Have a question for the masses though…
